Erin Peeler

Dr. Peeler is an Iowan born and raised! She grew up in Indianola, where her family still resides, and attended Wartburg College in Waverly to study biology with minors in chemistry and religion. She graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. You may have run into her practicing in small animal clinics all around the state as a relief veterinarian. She is excited to put down roots here in Ames alongside many of her favorite shops, restaurants, and a beloved community!
Dr. Peeler’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are cats, surgery, and companion exotics. She has a compassionate approach to clients as well as patient needs and always strives for low-stress visits on all fronts. At home, she lives with five black and white felines (Regulus, Narcissa, Pangur Ban, Alastor, and Amaranthe), one tortoise (Aegis), and her husband (Stephen). Her hobbies include board games, various artistic pursuits, and other general nerdery. You may bump into her at local Comic Cons and don’t be surprised if you catch her in costume!
