Alexandra Bemis, DVM

Dr. Alex Bemis received her B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. She worked in a research lab for a year in Oregon before returning to Massachusetts to get her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2018. She joined a small animal practice in Massachusetts where she worked for three years before moving to the midwest. She most recently completed her certification in veterinary acupuncture at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute and is excited to use that knowledge to help keep her patients comfortable.

At home, Dr. Bemis has two cats, Charlie and Lucy, who are appalled by the energy levels of Phineas (the Brittany) and Imogene (the Ibizan Hound) in the house. Horseback riding is her favorite activity whenever she has spare time, but she also enjoys reading and playing piano.
