Timothy Moritz

Dr. Tim Moritz is from Saint Louis, Missouri, and he grew up around veterinary medicine, being the son of two companion animal veterinarians. He attended the University of Missouri – Columbia, where he studied Biochemistry, with minors in Biology and German. In 2025, Dr. Moritz received his DVM degree from Iowa State University. Although he is fresh from veterinary school, he is eager to bring the most up-to-date knowledge to Ames Pet Hospital and apply it to his work.

Dr. Moritz is especially passionate about canine medicine, as well as surgery, preventative medicine and exotic companion animal medicine. He is committed to providing patients with excellent care, while simultaneously providing clients with understanding and peace of mind. At home, Dr. Moritz lives with his fiancé, Allison (who is also studying to be a veterinarian!), and they live with their dog, Doc, and two cats, Binx & Cocoa. His hobbies include home improvement, building models and cooking new and exciting recipes in the kitchen.
